Phoebe Ongadi

Phoebe Ongadi is the Executive Director of the Kenya Network of Cancer Organizations (KENCO), the national umbrella body that unites civil society groups, advocacy organizations, and patient support networks advancing cancer prevention, control, and survivorship in Kenya. Under her leadership, KENCO has strengthened partnerships across government, private sector, and community stakeholders to promote equitable access to cancer care and amplify the collective voice of those affected by cancer.
Phoebe has been at the forefront of national and continental efforts aimed at accelerating cervical cancer elimination. She has contributed to multi-stakeholder initiatives promoting HPV vaccination, screening, and early detection, and continues to advocate for sustainable policy implementation aligned with the WHO 90–70–90 elimination targets. Her work emphasizes the critical role of collaboration in linking health systems, civil society, and private sector innovation to
reduce the burden of preventable cancers.
