June Muli
June Muli is a spirited Type 1 diabetes advocate who has lived with the condition for 17 years. She is deeply committed to demystifying diabetes and proving that with the right support and mindset, life with diabetes can be vibrant and fulfilling. Through her advocacy, June empowers others to embrace their diagnosis with resilience and optimism.
In collaboration with the Kenya Diabetes Management and Information Centre (DMI), June has raised over KES 1,000,000 to advance diabetes awareness, in an effort to improve access to care in Kenya. Her efforts bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and real-life experience, making her a relatable and trusted voice in the diabetes community.
A recreational runner, June uses her personal journey to inspire hope and promote wellness. She believes that chronic illness should never be a barrier to living fully. Whether on the track or on stage, she shares her story with authenticity and energy.
June jokingly calls herself “the diabetes chatterbox” because she’ll talk to anyone and everyone about diabetes, sharing insights from her lived experience to educate, uplift, and connect. Her work continues to shape public perception, reminding us that health is not just about managing a condition; it’s about living with purpose, passion, and possibility.
