Dr. Gatacha is a visionary leader in digital health and health systems strengthening, currently serving as the Head of the Health Products and Technology Unit and County Pharmacist for Murang’a County Government. He has led the automation of all 164 health facilities, introducing paperless systems, telemedicine, and data-driven decision tools that have transformed patient care and operational efficiency. With a background in Health Economics and Policy, Pharmacy and additional training in Management and Leadership (CMI-UK), CPA(K) and Procurement - CIPS, Dr. Gatacha combines clinical, economic, and managerial expertise to drive sustainable health innovations. His pioneering work in digital health integration, supply chain automation, and teleconsultation models has positioned Murang’a County as a leader in Kenya’s health digitization efforts. A passionate advocate for universal health coverage and non-communicable disease management, he continues to harness technology to bridge access gaps, improve outcomes, and promote evidence-based healthcare.
